Fudge-frosted Starry Roll
Ingredients

Swiss roll sponge
175g/3/4 cup
chocolate butter icing
50g/2oz white
chocolate
50g/2oz plain
chocolate
75g/6 tbsp butter
or margarine
65ml/4 1/2 tbsp
milk or single cream
7.5ml/1 1/2 tsp
vanilla essence
MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT

Method:
Unroll
the sponge and spread with the butter
icing.

Cut both
cakes in half horizontally. Use one-quarter of
the butter icing to sandwich the cakes together.
Place the cake on the board. Use two-thirds of
the remaining icing to cover the cake. Texture
the icing with a serrated scraper.
Using a
No 7 writing nozzle, pipe a twisted rope
pattern around the top and base edges of the
cake with the remaining butter icing.
Decorate with chocolate chips.
Cut the
angelica into diamond shapes and arrange on the
cake with the pumpkins.
