If using eggs,
make sure you buy them from a reputable source,
store them in a cool place and use by the
sell-by date.
Some of the most
sensational desserts are made with raw eggs. As
there is a minimal risk of them containing
salmonella bacteria, do not recommend you give
them to infants or toddlers, people who are very
old or infirm, or pregnant women. If you are in
any doubt, consult your doctor.
When leaving food
to cool, cover loosely with foil, a clean tea
towel (disk cloth) or Clingfilm (plastic wrap)
to protect from flies, dust etc...
Always wash your
hands before preparing food.
The back long hair
and don't wear rings or nail varnish.
Wear an Apron.
Keep work surfaces
clean and tidy.
Never lick your
fingers or dip the same spoon back in the food
once tasted.
Always make sure
food is completely cold before placing it in the
fridge.
Always transfer
leftovers to a clean container and cover with a
lid, Clingfilm (plastic wrap) or foil before
storing in the fridge.
If reheating a
pudding, make sure it is piping hot right
through, not just lukewarm.
