Hot Desserts Recipes - Banana Custard Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 egg (lightly beaten)

• 2 tablespoons custard powder

• 2 tablespoons sugar

• 225ml/8fl oz milk

• 125ml/4fl oz double cream

• 2 bananas (sliced into discs)

Serves 4

Method:

1. Combine the beaten egg, custard powder, sugar, milk and cream in a heatproof bowl and whisk until smooth.

2. Place the bowl over a pan of water and stir constantly over a low heat for 5 minutes, or until the custard thickens slightly and coats the back of a wooden spoon.

3. Remove the bowl from the heat and gently stir in the banana. Serve hot.
