Dessert Recipes - Sun Maid Raisin Nut Cake Recipe

Ingredients 

• 1/2 lb self-raising flour

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1 tsp mixed spices

• 2 oz chopped nuts

• 4 1/2 oz Sun Maid Seedless Raisins

• 4 oz margarine

• 6 oz granulated sugar

• 2 eggs

Method:

1. Grease and flour a loaf tin, 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 1/z inches. Sieve together first three ingredients and add the nuts and raisins.

2. Cream the margarine and sugar thoroughly and add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

3. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition, and bake in the prepared tin in a moderate oven (350°F) for about 1-1 1/4 hours.
