Dessert Recipes - Love Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients    

• 1/3 cup Heinz Tomato

• Ketchup 2 tsp lemon juice

• 5 cups thinly sliced, pared cooking apples

• 3/4 cup granulated sugar

• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

• 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

• 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened

• 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Makes one 9 inch pie

Method:

1. Blend Ketchup and lemon juice;* combine with apples. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until thoroughly mixed.

2. Fill pie shell with apples; top with sugar mixture.

3. Bake in 375°F oven, 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are cooked.

4. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
