Dessert Recipes - Fudgy Casserole a la Mode Recipe

Ingredients 

• 3 blocks (3 oz) Hershey's Baking Chocolate

• 1/2 cup + 1 Tbs butter or margarine, softened

• 1 1/2 cups sugar

• 3 eggs

• 1 1/2 tsps vanilla

• 3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour

• 3/4 cup chopped pecans

• Vanilla ice cream

Method:

1. Melt baking chocolate in top of a double boiler over simmering water. Remove from heat.

2. Beat in butter or margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour; add chopped pecans.

3. Pour into buttered 1- or 1 1/2-quart casserole.

4. Bake at 350°F for 55 minutes. Spoon into individ­ual dishes and serve warm with ice cream.
