Dessert Recipes - Foster's Yogurt Pie Recipe

Ingredients                

  • 1 Tbs unflavored gelatin*         

  • 1/4 cup cold water                             

  • 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten

  • 1 tsp molasses

  • 1/4 cup milk                                  

  • 2 cups Dannon Plain Yogurt 

  • 1 tsp Vanilla                             

  • 8 oz Neufchatel** cheese, room temperature

  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature

  • 1 Tbs clover honey

  • 1/2 cup graham cracker

  • 1 graham cracker crumb

Make one 10-inch pie


Method:

  1. Soften gelatin in cold water and dissolve over hot water. Add milk to the slightly beaten egg yolks and cook with the gelatin over gently boiling water until it coats a silver spoon. Set aside to cool.

  2. Cream the cheese, vanilla, molasses and honey together (if mixing machine used-cream on low speed only), add one cup of Dannon Yogurt and continue to cream until smooth.

  3. Pour the cold gelatin mixture slowly over the cheese, stirring constantly. Add the second cup of Dannon Yogurt. Mix well.

  4. Pour into baked graham cracker crumb shell and chill until firm. When ready to serve, sprinkle top with graham cracker crumbs.
