Dessert Recipes - Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients 

• One 6-oz package (1 cup) butterscotch-flavored morsels                   

• 1/2 cup peanut butter                        

• 4 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal

• One 6-oz package (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate morsels

• 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar

• 2 Tbs margarine or butter, softened

• 1 Tbs water

Makes 25 squares

Method:

1. In large saucepan, melt butterscotch-flavored morsels and peanut butter over very low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.

2. Stir in Cereal. Press half the mixture in a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Chill. Set remaining mixture aside.

3. Melt over hot (not boiling) water semi-sweet morsels, sugar, margarine and water, stirring constantly until smooth.

4. Spread over chilled Cereal mixture, Spread remaining Cereal mixture evenly over top.

5. Press in gently. Chill until firm (1 hour).
