Dessert Recipes - Chocolate "Philly" Soufflé Recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbs margarine
-
2 Tbs flour
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
One 8-oz package
Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese, cubed

2/3 cup sugar
-
Two 1-oz squares unsweetened
chocolate, melted

1 1/2 tsp
vanilla

4 eggs, separated
Method:

Make a white sauce with margarine, flour, milk and
salt. Add cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, chocolate and
vanilla; stir over low heat until smooth.

Remove
from heat. Gradually add slightly beaten egg yolks;
cool slightly. Beat egg whites until soft peaks
form.

Gradually add remaining sugar, beating until
stiff peaks form. Fold cream cheese mixture into egg
whites. Pour into 1 1/4-quart soufflé dish or
casserole.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Serve
immediately.
