Dessert Recipes - Cherry Cheese Pie Recipe

Ingredients    

  • one 9-inch graham cracker crumb crust

  • one 8-oz package cream cheese, softened

  • one 14-oz can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (not evaporated milk)

  • 1/3 cup ReaLemon Reconstituted Lemon Juice Canned cherry pie filling, chilled Ambrosia Topping (below) or Cherry Nut Topping (below)

Ambrosia Topping:

  • 1/2 cup peach or apricot preserves

  • 1/4 cup flaked coconut

  • 2 Tbs orange-flavored liqueur

  • 2 tsp corn starch fresh orange sections (1 or 2 oranges)

Cranberry Nut Topping:

  • 1 cup chilled cranberry-orange relish

  • 1/22 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1 tsp grated orange rind

Makes one 9 inch pie


Method:

  1. In large mixer bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. Beat in Eagle Brand until smooth.

  2. Stir in ReaLemon and vanilla. Pour into crust. Chill 3 hours or until set.

  3. Top with desired amount of pie filling before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.

  4. In small saucepan, combine first four ingredients. Cook and stir until thickened.

  5. Remove from heat. Chill thoroughly. Spread over pie; arrange orange sections over top.

  6. In small bowl, combine relish, walnuts and orange rind. Spread over pie. Garnish with orange twists, if desired.
