Instructions for jar: Add brown sugar in a 1
liter jar and pack down evenly.

Pour sugar on top
and smooth over.

In medium
bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda,
salt and orange peel. Stir well to mix. Spoon
flour mixture over sugar carefully in several
additions, pressing down firmly after each
addition.

Place white
chocolate chips over flour mixture and press
down firmly.

Add macadamia nuts
over chips. Press down firmly to fit them all
and place lid on jar.

For baking: Preheat oven to 350
(176.C). Empty contents of jar into large
bowl.

Add butter or margarine and egg. Beat on low speed
or by hand until well mixed.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto un-greased cookie
sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven
and let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute.
then transfer to cooling rack.
