Dessert Recipes - Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients              

• 2 1/4 cups flour

• 1 tsp baking soda

• 1 cup packed brown sugar

• 1 cup sugar

• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

• 1 cup crunchy or smooth peanut butter

• 2 eggs

Method:

1. Instructions for jar: Combine flour, baking soda and place in 1 liter jar. Spoon brown sugar over flour mixture.

2. Spoon sugar over brown sugar.

3. For baking: Preheat oven to 350(176C). Empty contents of jar into large mixing bowl.

4. In small bowl, blend butter, peanut butter and eggs. (To blend easier, warm butter and peanut butter in microwave for 40 seconds before you mix with eggs.)

5. Stir butter mixture into dry ingredients and mix well. Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. place on sprayed baking sheet.

6. Make crisscross shape on each by flattening with fork dipped in sugar. Bake for 12 to 13 minutes.
