Instructions for jar:
Place sugar
in l litter jar and smooth over. Gently spoon
cocoa powder evenly over sugar.

Spoon flour
and baking powder over cocoa, pressing down
lightly.

Add pecans to
jar on top of flour and press down firmly. Place
lid on jar to close.

For baking: Preheat
oven to 375/190C. Empty contents of jar into large
mixing bowl. Add egg, butter or margarine, milk and
vanilla.

Beat on low speed or by hand until dough is
thoroughly blended. Cover dough and refrigerate for
1 hour.

In small bowl, combine 3 tbsp/45ml sugar and
1 1/2 tsp/7ml cinnamon. Stir to completely mix.

Take
pieces of dough and roll into 1 inch/2.5cm balls.
Roll balls in the sugar-cinnamon mixture and place 2
inches/5cm apart on un-greased cookies sheet.

Bake
for 10 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned around
edges. Remove from oven and let cookies cool on
cookie sheet for 1 minute, then transfer to cooling
rack.
